The Hungarian National Bank (MNB) has granted a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) license to Tiwala Solutions Ltd., the operator of CoinCash. This makes CoinCash the first—and currently the only—Hungarian-headquartered crypto company authorized under the EU Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) Regulation, supervised by Hungary's central bank.
The achievement is particularly significant because Hungary implemented one of the strictest MiCA regulatory frameworks in the European Union and introduced one of the earliest compliance deadlines. Many domestic crypto businesses either left the market or continued operating under licenses obtained elsewhere in the EU.
CoinCash chose a different path, completing the full Hungarian licensing process and voluntarily suspending operations in December 2025 while awaiting approval.
The CASP license covers six regulated crypto-asset services, including crypto exchange, custody, transfers, investment advice and portfolio management—one of the broadest authorization scopes in the region.
CoinCash will gradually relaunch its services over the coming months, offering a fully regulated, Hungarian-language platform for an estimated 500,000 crypto investors.
This license is more than a corporate achievement—it is a milestone for Hungary's crypto, blockchain and fintech ecosystem, proving that a locally owned company can meet one of Europe's most demanding regulatory standards.
